ROAD
In 1997, COFIDIS wanted to develop its reputation among the general
public. Indeed, until then, COFIDIS offered consumer credit products
without capitalising on its image.
Cycling sponsorship was chosen for this.
Bringing together a range of different experiences
and abilities, the COFIDIS team has emerged as one of the most versatile
teams of the pack.
Able to express itself in all fields, COFIDIS will once more be
present at the Pro Tour in 2009
for its 13th season among the elite.
Its list of achievements over the last 12 years includes many victories
in Grand Tours, classics, and many other races, all equally important.
This is a team of 24 cyclists, including
19 French, with the mission of making the sun of On-line Credit
shine on the roads of France, Europe and the World.

Dumoulin and Amaël
Moinard will be committed to defending the red colours
of the COFIDIS jerseys.

TRACK
Alongside road competition, since 2008 COFIDIS has established a
Track organisation, by creating its Pro team.
This team most notably features athletes who can shine at World
Cups, World Championships or the Olympic Games.

re the best examples of this.
Two talents join the track group in 2009: the experienced
François
Pervis and Quentin
Lafargue, a promising young talent.
Arnaud
Tournant, who has taken early retirement from the velodromes
and who holds the world record for the 1 kilometre time trial, takes
on the role of Track Sports Manager and will supervise the COFIDIS
Track team with the help of the track cyclists’ trainer, Benoît
Vettu and Florian Rousseau.
LAURENT THIRIONET
Since 1998, COFIDIS has been sponsoring Laurent Thirionet, an outstanding
para-cyclist who never ceases to distinguish himself at each competition
he enters.
This support, both technical and financial, means Laurent can take
part in the events of his choice, with high-performance equipment
at his disposal.
Laurent has a total of 2 Paralympic Champion
titles, 7 World Champion titles, 10 European Champion titles and
3 French Champion titles.
